I am currently evaluating the software and have run into a deal breaking issue when dealing with Contacts. 

Two major two issues...

  1st.  Many of our fosters, adopters, and volunteers are couples within the same household.  Having to use two entries, one for each, is sloppy, can lead to mis-assigning households, and can create confusion.  Putting multiple 1st names on the line works; however, this can have sorting implications and creates phone number issues (e.g. each with their own cell).  Being able to name a "Family" or "Household" and then add multiple members to that would resolve.

  2nd.  There is an entry for Cell, Work, and Home.  We are finding more and more people do not have Home or Work number, relying on cell numbers exclusively.  There is not a way to add multiple cell numbers for different members of the same family/household.  Ideally, I would like to see a "Primary" and "Secondary" number, with the option to add more being nice.  He entry should have an option to select "Cell/Home/Work/Other" for each.  Then space to add information such as who this number belongs to (e.g. Kris' Cell or "Joe's Work), if there is an extension, and other pertinent information.  Add some sort of "permission to text" radio would also be nice, since some people do not like to text.

Note:  The fact that one of the entries mentions "pager" and another "carrier" shows just how antiquated this page really is and that it is in need of a massive overhaul.
